Why PRECIFER Works Better
Standard iron salts (like Ferric ammonium citrate, Iron Polymaltose, Ferrous Sulfate etc) often lead to poor compliance because only 10–15% is absorbed, leaving the rest to irritate the gut, cause black stools, and feed “bad” bacteria.
The PRECIFER Difference:
- Microencapsulation: Nanosized iron particles are coated in a protective layer, preventing contact with the stomach lining.
- Targeted Release: Iron is released specifically in the duodenum (small intestine) where absorption is highest.
- Lactoferrin Synergy: Lactoferrin acts as a smart carrier, “pulling” iron into the bloodstream more efficiently than iron alone.
- Taste Masked: No unpleasant metallic aftertaste.
- Can be consumed any time without worry of other minerals interaction.
Key Benefits

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- What makes PRECIFER -Liposomal Iron and Liposomal Lactoferrin different from other iron capsules? It uses microencapsulated iron and Lactoferrin, which ensure the iron reaches your blood rather than sitting in your gut causing irritation.
- Does PRECIFER cause constipation? No. Because the iron is encapsulated and highly absorbed, there is very little “unabsorbed” iron left to cause constipation.
- Why is Lactoferrin included? Lactoferrin is a protein that naturally binds to iron and helps transport it across the intestinal wall, significantly boosting effectiveness.
- Can I take this during pregnancy? Yes, PRECIFER is excellent for pregnancy as it is gentle on the stomach and effectively supports both mother and baby. However, consult your doctor.
- Will it turn my stools black? While some darkening can occur, it is significantly less than with traditional iron salts due to better absorption.
- How soon will I see results in my Hemoglobin levels? Most users see a noticeable improvement in energy within 2 -3 weeks and clinical Hb increases within 30 days.
- Does it have a metallic taste? No, the microencapsulation masks the metallic taste completely.
- Can I take it on an empty stomach? While it is gentler, we recommend taking it after a meal for optimal nutrient synergy with the co-vitamins.
- Is it safe for long-term use? Yes, it is designed for safe maintenance of iron stores, but always consult your doctor for long-term needs.
- Do i have to Vitamin C separately? No, with Liposomal Iron and Liposomal lactoferrin, additional absorption enhancer like Vitamin C is not necessary. At the same time, taking orange juices along or during the time with anemia will provide an additional benefit.
- Is it suitable for vegetarians? The Lactoferrin is milk-derived, making it suitable for lacto-vegetarians.
- Can children take PRECIFER? It is suitable for older children (8+) who can safely swallow capsules. Consult a pediatrician for younger children.
- Will it stain my teeth? No. Unlike liquid iron or some tablets, the encapsulated form prevents contact with teeth.
- How does it help with immunity? Lactoferrin is a key part of the innate immune system, helping to deprive harmful bacteria of iron while supporting your own cells.
- Can I take it with my morning tea? Although liposomal iron is less likely to interfere with tea or other minerals, it is still advisable to maintain a gap of at least one hour before taking PRECIFER for optimal absorption.

Liposomal Iron for Iron Deficiency Anemia in Women of Reproductive Age: Review of Current Evidence; Jr of OB & Gynecology 2018
Key Findings
Encapsulation of micronized iron in liposomes is associated with lesser exposure to gastric contents, lesser interaction with food contents, no exposure to different digestive juices, targeted delivery of iron and allows lower doses to be administered in lieu of direct absorption without need for protein carriers. The available evidence suggests that liposomal iron significantly increases hemoglobin, ferritin levels in pregnant women as well as in women with iron deficiency.

Oral Liposomal Iron: A Treatment Proposal for Anemia; World Jr of Anemia 2017
Key Findings
The prevalence of any type of anemia is very high (>95%) among children, adolescents, and pregnant women in India. The main risk factors for iron deficiency anemia (IDA) are: Low iron intake, different levels of chronic blood loss, and malabsorption. In addition, certain chronic diseases like chronic kidney disease (CKD), chronic heart failure, cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are frequently associated with IDA.2,4 Iron deficiency anemia is also known to affect a large part of adult and elderly patients in internal medicine units. The distinctive features of liposomal iron like high bioavailability, lesser side effects, and good compliance make it suitable to be used in patients who require iron administration and are intolerant to oral treatment, IV iron treatment, or lack good absorption.
